We are based in the Western Cape of South Africa, yet are able to conduct your auction in any port in South Africa.

Captain Lance Tiedt, started his career at sea as a Navigating Cadet with Safmarine in 1986, where he rose through the ranks to Chief Officer, sailing on a variety of vessels, General Cargo, Bulk Carriers, Multi-Purpose vessels, Container Ships, Salvage Tugs.

He left Safmarine to Sail on the Hong Kong registered Tall Ship – Ji Fung, this was operated by Outward Bound – Hong Kong. Thereafter he returned to commercial shipping in the Offshore industry – sailing on AHTS ( Anchor Handling Tug Supply ) Vessels, SBM support vessels / Dive support vessels.

It was in the offshore industry that he sailed as Master.

Since 2007 he has been ashore as a Marine Advisor – in the Oil Terminals industry.

He has a Diploma in Auctioneering from the SA College of Auctioneering.
